CT results

Post by JJ »

Hi...wow, the doc called me at 7PM with the CT Scan results. I have mild Hydro nephrosis (sp?) I have some sort of blockage that is keeping my kidney from draining properly. He referred me to a urologist. I also have a cyst in my kidney that he said is no big deal. He said he is not thinking cancer....whew...in fact...the CT scan may have picked-up something that isn't there. He said it is not an emergency, but could cause problems down the line if left as is. I think I will make this guy my primary care physician...I liked him on the phone. I will also drop off another specimen tomorrow...I am having more than the regular amount of eliminations...now that the poo is under control, I am having pee problems...go figure! :banghead:

Good news, Jill! It all sounds very "fixable"

I remember worrying a little about MC last summer when we road-tripped to Yellowstone - then I got a UTI the week before we left, and :poopbanana: became the least of my concerns!!

Keep :pepsi: , and keep peeing and you'll be fine! Glad it's nothing serious!

Love,

Mary

Jill,

I'm not saying you have this, but if your symptoms persist, (IC can come and go), they could be due to interstitial cystitis. The increased frequency, and hematuria, (red cells in urine), without the presence of bacteria, are a match. It also seems to be linked with IBDs, and doctors have a problem diagnosing it. It can occur with or without pelvic pain. See if any of this looks familiar:

Here's another article on it:

So glad it isn't more serious, JJ. Also glad you went ahead and had the test and I'm still :xfingers: that "the CT scan may have picked-up something that isn't there" as your Dr. mentioned. Even if that's not the case, it sounds very fixable as C.Mary said. That's good news.

Wow...thanks Tex....I don't have pain thank goodness. I had a sharp pain in my abdomen many months ago. I wonder if I was trying to pass a kidney stone and it got stuck???? I thought it was a gas pain....hmmm...It will be interesting to see what the urologist says...ks for all the help! JJ

Jill,

It sure could be a stone, alright. That could definitely cause all the symptoms that you describe.

Good luck with the urologist consultation.

Hi...I bought 3 large bottles of cranberry juice and may also brew some corn silk tea over the weekend...as I recall, that was good for urinary infections.

I will call the doc later and get the results of my pee test. JJ

Hi Jill

Glad that the Ct did not show anything drastic. Hope they get you sorted out soon. I know how uncomfortable it can be to have that urge to pee all the time.
Love
