What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...

Post by CAMary »

Just kidding - no wild stories or anything!

I had a fabulous time with 6 great friends - I laughed so hard I nearly peed! I almost ate myself sick, and saw a fabulous show...It was a wonderful "female bonding" weekend...

But Las Vegas itself?? Let's just say I could go another 40 years and not feel the need to go back! First, it was 115 on Friday - pure misery outside - we walked the strip for a bit anyways and did some sightseeing...

But not a lot to do if you don't gamble (I blew all of $4 on the penny slots  ), get drunk or like to eat @ buffets...I prefer active, outdoorsy vacations, and Vegas is neither of those...Too much smoke and ooh - send in the fashion police - the people-watching was a hoot, but wow *Super Tacky* - I've never seen sleazy wedding dresses until this weekend  and :boobs: everywhere! And the hotels put in huge pools, and not a lick of shade surrounding them

We got on the plane today, and they announced it was 75 degrees at our destination and everyone cheered!!

We decided we will do Hawaii when we turn 50

Defintely an "experience" rather than a vacation!

I think you just re-confirmed my lack of desire to visit Vegas.
Sure glad you had a good time with your friends. Sounds like a real boost for you and I'm glad you went.

Hawaii sounds like a GREAT idea for your next "Gal's Trip". That is a place I'd love to visit also.

Mary-------U covered Vegas totally!!!  NOW----
Years back--and I mean waaaaaaay back---it was a different Vegas--
We use to go yearly with Lou's cousin Dan and Noreen--
Then it was such a fun place to be----now it has gotten to be so overcrowded with the added casinos---and the fact that now its a FAMILY Vacation SPOT!!!
So its telling that when a family is addicted to gambeling---the kids can now go along and be left in a childs room cared for by authorized assistants--BOO--BOO---BOO--on VEGAS--
I would never go back there again either---and we luve to *casino* it~~
Glad U had a great time with friends-----thats a PLUS--

And Hawaii~~~~~~ now that a vacation~~~

Hi Mary!!
So good to hear that you had a great time with your friends!!!
After what you've been thru you definitely deserved a get away!!
Your subject line made me crack up!!!!
We've never been to Vegas and I have no desire to go!
Creeps me out with knowing all kinds of peoples hands being on the slots, etc.... I'd be using hand sanitizer and wipes on the machines!!!! LOL!!!!
We did go to one in Niagra Falls which was a first for us!! It really smelled bad in there!!!!!!
Hawaii???? Now that will be a great one!!!!!

Love
Dee~
