Dee,

Glad you're back. We missed you. I was afraid something bad had happened, and I was afraid to ask.

The rains have pretty much stopped here, (at least they're down to widely scattered showers, now). Hopefully, the reservoirs and rivers will have time to get back to more normal levels before any other significant rains occur. I think we're out of the woods, anyway.

Love,
Wayne

Wayne!
Our weather here in Ohio has been extremely dry! All of our yards look like it's September. Very dried out! Hurting crops also! We are really below the norm as far as rainfall.
I can remember commenting last year how green everything was here In August.
We need a nice steady rain for a few days.

Love

Hi There Barb!!!!
I'll tell ya, that Paxil was like a miracle pill for me!!! It was the best that I have felt in years!
Now, I have no idea what can be prescribed .
People that have never suffered with an anxiety disorder or depression have no idea what your life is like!
I have an appt. this Thursday with my doctor, so I'll see if there is another option.

Dee,

Paxil, (as I'm sure you know), is an SSRI, and as a group, the SSRIs generally have less risk of major problems, (such as overdose risks), but, of course, all the antidepressants are fraught with peril, and loaded with side effects. If I am not mistaken, only the SSRIs list D as a side effect.

The TCAs and MAOIs don't list D, but have more, (and often more serious), side effects. You might want to discuss Bupropion, (Wellbutrin) with your doctor, since it seems to show fewer side effects than the TCAs and MAOIs, other than the risk of seizure, associated with high doses, (for which it was pulled from the market for a while).

Here's an article where most of this is discussed:

http://www.clinical-depression.co.uk/Tr ... ffects.htm

I hope it starts raining there pretty soon. Our annual rainfall is listed at 35 inches. So far this year, we've had just a fraction over 38 inches, (and we've still got half a year to go).

Love,
Tex

Dee, I have taken both Effexor (a seratonin and norephenephrine reuptake inhibitor) and Lexapro (currently on). Neither caused me problems. I don't feel as well on my current dose of Lexapro as I did on the Effexor, but will talk to the doc about that when I see them in August. I either feel great or I feel like crap. But I also think recently that could be from not being careful enough with avoiding hidden gluten. So many variables...

Good luck.

Katy!
My doctor first tried Zoloft.. Gave me the D.. Then we tried Lexapro.. I was so nauseous that I couldn't eat.. Then the Paxil.. Gave me the D.
So, that's 3 down.. I'll look up the Effexor...

Thanks
Dee~~

Hi...I was on Lexapro, but switched to Paxil because it has a cheaper co-pay. I am on Entocort, so haven't noticed any bad side effects. JJ

Thanks for your replies on the anti-depressants!
I just hope I'm not back to square one with the MC...
I've been dealing with the watery D since Friday.
Upped my Entocort to 2 this morning in hopes to quell whatever the Paxil has caused..
I usually research new meds and didn't before starting the Paxil.
DARN!!!!!!!

Love
Dee~~~
