I have a mouse in the house

Post by annie oakley »

I hear a mouse every night lately. I can hear it moving aroud in one of the cupboards. :Itchscratch: Buckmaster hears it too....but he can;t fit in the cupboards. Boy do I wish he could...he;s my mouser. We have baited traps with everything. They Like peanut butter but seem to be smarter than the trap.. :shithead: I may bring out the big guns and that means getting the live traps out. Two nights ago The racket woke me up. I think there are more than one and they are having a huge party under the kitchen sink. I may need to borrow a cat from someone.. :fonkycat: That could be interesting as Buck wants to play with cats. Well wish me luck...Love Oma

We had one at work this week too! He got in the receptionist's desk drawer and ate a little tootsie roll that she had stashed in there. He even moved one to another drawer on the other side of the desk! My boss tried traps with cheese in it, but it didn't work. Finally he got a sticky pad made for catching mice and baited it with 2 tootsie rolls since that is what he seemed to be hungry for and Voila! Caught him! He got the sticky pads at the grocery store. Might work for you too!?

Those little guys are a real pain. The first time we stayed in Florida for the winter they/it?? chewed up Bill's lounge chair.

After that we left them "something to eat" (Decon) in the basement and had no more problems.

Good luck with the little critters.

Once my mom had a mouse that took Hershey kisses from a bowl on the coffee table and left the empty foil wrappers behind the sofa. Everyone blamed my son who was about 4 at the time. He kept claiming he didn't do it. Well, it continued after we went home so he was vindicated. Eventually they caught the mouse.

Not a bad idea having a cat...

Hope you can solve it soon,

Shirley U are so generous --leaving such good eatings for the little critters--

We had a run of field mice a few years back----found out they LUVE peanut butter so we set the traps --shut the lights---went to bed and in a few minutes *crack* they started feasting---
They had their last *supper*

People thought *how very CRUEL* of us----

We dont have catz---but we did have 3 dogs that didnt make a move---I think they thought *cute* little peoples running around--
