Hi Dee,
My appointment is Thursday at lunch time. I am not doing as well as I would like but I have a lot of company on that one. I honestly seem to be getting worse - much more D than in the past couple of years and no idea why.
Will see what Dr. Gastro says and go from there.
Thanks so much for asking and it is getting harder and harder to do work and handle this every day. Still totally GF and Paleo did not work for me but trying my best to stick with it.
Love, Maggie

Maggie,
I don't know how you work with having the D like that. I'm totally out of commission and won't leave my home because of fear of the no 10 second warning and I better be real close to a bathroom.
I had to get ahold of my GI as soon as he was in the office yesterday morning because I ran 11 times on Sunday to the bathroom. 3 times I had cramping so bad, of which, I have NEVER EVER had, that I actually thought that I was going to vomit! I had been maintaining taking only 1 Entocort EC a day beforehand, but I knew that I had to get the flare stopped so he prescribed the initial dose of 3-3mgs for 2 months for me.
I already have a scheduled appt. with him in September so we'll see at that time what dose I'll need ....
Hoping to hear that you and your gastro come up with something that works for you.. Keep me posted.
Love
Dee~~

Hi Dee,
Thanks for filling me on in on the state you are at. 10 to 12 times per day is a normal and that sucks considering I was down to around 6. I also have had bad cramping lately and nothing to tie it to. I am so drained in the mornings when I have most of the D that I literally feel sick from it. Also have started now with mid-afternoon bouts and of course my 3 AM wake up call. People wonder why I get up so early but the system dictates it for 5 or 6 times so why try to sleep.
Work is hard but luckily I am on a floor with just my boss in this beautiful old manor house and I have my private bathroom. The house has 9 fireplaces and 7 bathrooms and only 8 of us work here. You can't beat that. Got to stay lighthearted about it or you would scream. Will let you know what Dr. Gastro says.
Love, Maggie

MAGGIE and DEE------ohhhh how I know what U gals are going thru--
I think back a few years when I went from bed to the bowl all day and thru the night--and then packed--hopped into the car(we were in AZ) and drove home cus I was so sick and losing weight rapidly--
Thankfully I changed GI's--cus GI KRAMM didnt do a damn thing for me--the time I wasted with that jerk makes me so angry--
Maggie--I still dont know how U manage to work!!!
Dee--I think we all knew the closest
Maggie I know U cannot take a trip here to NY---I wish U could/would cus Dr. Chapman would give U a better life---as he did for me---
I have plenty of room here---
I hope this GI can get U back to some wellness---this is way to much that U keep going thru without a break!!!!
to both U gals---
luve Barbara

Morning Barbara,
Nope can't make that trip to Dr. Chapman but I have to say my gastro has a wonderful manner but like most, not well enough informed on our disease but definitely can have the courage to admit it.
On the way back from Maine in September, we are contemplating a stop by to see you but will talk more about that later. Time will be the element that might prevent it.
Love, Maggie
