Maggie - A Smile For You

Post by kate_ce1995 »

Hi Maggie,

I mentioned this in the other post about birds, but thought I would tell you about yesterday's adventure.

After we got the wasps nests out of the canoe (this was the first time we have had it out this year) and we drove to the reservoir, and then I drove home and back because Kayla forgot to put both paddles in the car, we went canoeing and fishing on the reservoir behind the flood control dam in our town. Saw two great blues (might have been the same one, but a lady in a kayak said she had seen 4) and two turtles sunning themselves on a log in the middle of the pond. We were drifting near the log fishing, when I caught a fish which scared the turtles because it started flopping around on the end of the line and made quite a commotion. We catch and release as none of us are fish eaters. I like some shellfish, but not my favorite.

It was a beautiful, sunny day. Only disappointment was that the water level was too low to paddle up the river where we often find a sandbar and stop to swim.

Hope you are feeling okay and that the first doses of Entocort are settling in okay. I had D on Friday and again this morning. I think I'm reacting to something...most likely hidden gluten. I hate just the one or two times a day. I can't imagine how you have coped so long. I sincerely do hope the meds find you some relief.

Hi Katy,

Great story and it definitely brought a smile and even a chuckle with the wasps and forgotten paddles. Sorry you didn't get that swim in yesterday.

Hope the Entocort does the trick and thanks to everyone for their support. This was definitely not an easy choice but a very necessary one.

Love, Maggie
