rattlesnake REAL close!
I was headed out the door yesterday evening to let the dogs out when mike said go back inside and get the pistol....I grabbed the 9mm and there was a 4 ft Diamond back pretty as you pleas 50 ft from the front door. Buck and Jasmine saw the pistol and nearly knocked me out of the doorway to get inside. They know what that pistol is for.....after Mike shot it in the head...he cut off the head and threw it in the yard til he could get across the fence and take the rattle off. Buck and jasmine had come back outside and when they saw it they Freaked, and began setting up a racket that made my ears hurt. Anyway they know not to bother with a snake but you can never tell. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
Hi Oma,
Snakes in the yard are never any fun. We haven't seen any rattlers around here in several months, now - a lot of them have probably been washed down to the Gulf of Mexico by now, or maybe the alligators are eatin' 'em. LOL.
Is it raining in your part of Texas these days? We had almost two inches yesterday, and another half inch, so far today, and that's on only about a 20 to 30% chance - the chances are supposed to go up for the rest of the week. <sigh> It looks as if it's never gonna end. The crops are ready to harvest, and they're just rotting in the field, because of the constant rain.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi Tex,
You are losing crops due to rain, and farmers here in MD are losing 60-80% of their crops because of severe drought, according to an article in the paper today. I hope someone is able to grow crops, or our food prices are gonna skyrocket even more than they already have. Send some rain here, kay?
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
