I think I'm flaring
Well, Even when I've had a gluten reaction in the past, it's been all muscle aches and such. Well, Friday, yesterday and today I've had episodes of D again. I'm definately having a reaction too because the "in the night" balance hasn't been so good (like when I get up to pee) and I'm a bit achy/arthritic feeling. I'm pretty sure I know what caused both reactions so hopefully this is short lived, but I think my sensitivity level is going up. UGH. I do have a new source of info...the new minister at Geoff's parents church has celiac. And of course Geoff's mom has already told him that I'm gluten sensitive. Sounds like he has developed some good recipies and such. Geoff and I don't go to church on a regular basis (the kids do go with their grandparents) but I'm hoping to get a chance to chat with him. Find out how he does the "feed the family" thing with small children, etc (his are a bit younger than ours).

Katy,
I agree - looking at your posts describing your symptoms over the past few months, it does indeed appear that you may be becoming more sensitive. I hope you can find the key, and avoid future reactions.
Gluten counseling will be a new endeavor for the church.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Bummer, Katy!
I hope your instinct is right about the "culprit" and you are feeling better soon! I had an episode yesterday, too! I think it may be the turkey I pulled out of the sandwich on the plane - I was *starving* or I would have passed on it...Potty dashes always give me flashbacks - I think it's post-traumatic MC stress disorder!
Feel better!

Oh POOP, Katy!
You might be getting more sensitive or you might be developing a new intolerance. Remember, that happened to some of us, and Dr. Fine also talks about this happening. I hope it's neither case, however, but if it's a new intolerance, I'd suspect dairy first.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's just from exposure to known contamination and that it is gone SOON.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
