So I'll share some good news...
I thought 2007 was going to go down as "the year everything went wrong" - but things just really turned around for us
Mike was laid off in 2001 from a job/company he *loved*. He has changed industries/jobs a few times - but never has been as happy as he was the 9 years he worked there...Well they called him 2 weeks ago to interview for a position, and today he received a FABULOUS offer They have restructured, and are much more stable - in fact they haven't had a layoff since he was let go....
He mentioned to the HR lady concerns about me being in the middle of reconstruction and switching medical plans and having to start over w/meeting a new deductible etc...Well, she negotiated a signing bonus in the amount of the maximum deductible/out-of-pocket costs for the entire family, so it won't cost us a thing to start over!!! She also verified I could "seamlessly" switch mid-process, and that my surgeon is on the preferred list (it's a PPO plan). WOW! Plus their coverage is much better (we used to have it), so we can make some headway on the bills we've been stuck with due to our current lame-o plan...
There is a hefty raise, some other perks, and he'll be working with some people he already knows and considers friends...
This will be SUCH a great thing for us!

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
This is my second post. The other is lost (because I don't know how to get there) wherever they go when you hit "save as draft" by mistake. HaHa
Anyway, I am grinning ear to ear about your great news and that the news has a big impact on "quality of life". I'm really happy for you and your husband.
Love, Shirley

Shirley,
I posted a "News Block" on the index page, that explains how to find those elusive drafts, so that you'll know what to do, in case that ever happens again.
I'm guessing that you're not the only one who has had posts disappear that way.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
