It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Shirley,
Hahahaha. You're right. You know, for a long time, you just knew that anything that you enjoyed, was probably bad for you, and sure enough, your doctor would usually remind you, every time you saw him or her.
Maybe there's a legitimate reason why we develop certain habits. Virtually all of the things once claimed to be so bad for us, are now being shown to have unique health benefits.
It wouldn't surprise me if one of these days, I went to get a checkup, and my doctor said, "It looks like your cholesterol is up a little. Be sure you're eating enough animal fat, so you can get your cholesterol back down, where it belongs. And cut your consumption of whole grain products way down - that stuff is animal feed, it's not good for humans. I only see four cigars in your shirt pocket. I hope that's not all the smoking you intend to do today - you don't want to get Alzheimer's, do you? And don't forget to drink your share of alcohol every day, too. And one last thing - the latest research shows that sleep is bad for you, so if you want to kill several birds with one stone, I recommend spending most nights making the rounds of the bars, and chasin' women until at least three or four o'clock every morning. After that, you should sleep good, but don't overdo it - three or four hours of sleep is more than enough, and after you get up, you can stay awake by drinking plenty of coffee - you need the caffeine, anyway, to keep your skin healthy."
Love,
Tex

That's my kind of day and night Tex!!!! I agree with you completely!!!!
Everything is always changing, like that. It only takes another study to tell a different story. I'm so sick of that kind of sh**. Makes me not believe a thing I hear, and have no faith in anything our country tells us about their studies. I know things change, but I am sick of hearing how this is bad and now it is good.
All things in moderation....Why don't they do something constructive instead of conducting all of these studies that are constantly changing?????

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."
