Full of self pity!

Post by JJ »

Hi...I am better today, but had a crying spell yesterday...no job....bills from surgery will be coming.....more surgery on the 17th. And....the CC that supplies me with International students told me yesterday that they only have one student for me...which means I am without $500/mo that helps pay my rent....I really had a good cry, then I called a friend who told me about a young woman who is looking for a room, so maybe that will work out. Uffda!

The good news is that the gal from the community college talked to her boss who is friends with the Dean of Arts and Humanties...they want my resume...so I sent it off this morning....fingers are crossed.

I am having a yard sale on Saturday, so need to get busy!

Thanks for letting me vent!

Jill-

I am *so* sorry you are feeling down  Medical stuff and bills are depressing. And the lack of a job is definitely not helping!! I think looking into a roommate (someone more long-term than a student) might be a good idea if it will ease your financial worries...

Get that resume off to the community college - I have a feeling something is just around the corner for you

I hope you make lotsa $$ at your garage sale, and you are feeling better about everything really soon!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Take care,

Mary

Hi Jill,

Sorry to hear about all the problems. Life seems to have a habit of really working us over, when it thinks that we are down. Please don't let it do that to you. A good cry is probably a good thing, once in a while, but remember, it's harder to dodge the things that life throws at us, when we're crying.

That's encouraging news about the the community college. Good luck with that project. Somewhere, there exists the ideal position for you - the trick, of course, is to find it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks you guys....I think the start of school without me and $$ woes had piled-up and the grief needed to come out. I am more psoitive today. I moved all of my yard sale stuff into my garage and tomorrow I will price it...it felt good to work up a sweat. I sent off my rsume to the CC and am hanging in there. I am anxious to get going on my own art again, but need to organize stuff before I can get going. All my art books need to be moved out of the basement before they are ruined by dampness. At least I moved them out of the garage today and they are in the basement..haha. I am going to hire the neighbor boy to help me haul some of it upstairs...also move the stair stepper out of my bedroom and into the yard sale area...it's a lost cause....TTFN...JJ

I sure hope you get lots of positive response from the CC (like a good job offer). Maybe renting the room to a grownup will work out well. Something has to work out soon.

Hi...thanks everybody! I interviewed a potential renter today...23 yo young woman who immigrated from the Ukraine when she was 13. We talked for 2 hrs!!!!!! I really like her. She has a few other places to check-out before she lets me know....the CC called and they DO have another student for me and I need to let them know by tomorrow afternoon if I want her....I hope I can rent to the Ukrainian girl!

I went to the CC today....one of my kids is sick...came home put her to bed....went to bank to get change for yard sale and that's about it...will have to work hard after dinner.....TTFN...JJ

Jill I am so sorry. Crying is a good thing.......It helps to release all those pent up emotions and to start fresh.

Hugs
