More Good News About Vitamin D, And Bad News About Bras
As Polly has suggested, on numerous occasions, vitamin D supplementation is looking better all the time. Now, research shows that it plays a role in suppressing various forms of cancer, such as colon cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc. Here's a writeup on the breast cancer side of it:

Believe it or not, though, bras have a far greater effect on the risk of breast cancer, than just about everything else put together. It's not that the bras themselves are the problem - apparently it's the way that they restrict the flow of lymph, within the breast tissue. Consider this article, which also has some other guidelines:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Well-----maybe my passed younger dayz of drinking --did me a favor---
I used to BAKE myself in the sun---my melanoma wasnt directed to that--
and now I do--at times take in early Vit. D---aroung the 10 am morning time--for 15 minutes---
AND----the BRA----well have to admit---always went braless when home-----and still do-----
So if one ever sees me walking with my arms cris-crossed--over boobs--and holding onto my upper arms-----I am BRALESS
Not being funny---by this post--just associating myself with the issues--

the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control
The real telling statement here is as follows:
Bras do NOT cause the cancer initially but they restrict the flow of lymph within breast tissue, thereby hindering the normal cleansing process of the breast tissue. Many environmental toxins and pesticides that cause and promote cancer are "fat-loving" and so tend to reside in the breast tissue
The real beef women with breast cancer have is quit focusing on finding "a cure" (which are basically toxic treatment options) but let's nail down the *cause*, and work on eliminating THAT!!
It's pretty clear that environmental causes play a huge part in most types of cancers...unfortunately, most environmentally-minded organizations are perceived as "fringe" or non-mainstream. The truth is the crap in our water and soil will eventually harm us ALL. By the time the majority of society recognizes it, the damage may be too advanced to undo.
Disclaimer - I am neither a scientist or an environmental-whackjob, but one doesn't have to be for common sense to tell us pumping chemicals into our water and soil are likely the cause of certain illness frequencies on the rise in modern society....

CAMary,
You've got company on that soapbox......me. Hopefully one of these days scientists will finally get around to testing those 70,000 plus chemicals we use around the home and garden that have never been tested on humans, let alone pregnant women and young children (those most at risk).
I have always avoided garden chemicals like the plague. I garden for wildlife, so I don't care if something is eating a plant. And I am gradually getting rid of all lawn (whew, what an awful job). Lawns are not healthy for the environment - they are not beneficial to wildlife, require too many chemicals, and do not soak up water the way that native plants/shrubs do.
In your readings, have you been able to find any environmental toxins that are implicated or suspected of causing breast cancer?
Love,
Polly
