Surgery on Wed. - getting anxious...

Post by CAMary »

This is technically a "no big deal" outpatient procedure - but for some reason, I am getting mentally "worked-up" over it. I guess because *any* surgery using general anesthesia has some inherent risks...

So I will be getting the "real deal" :boobs: . The reconstuction is a multi-step process. It is sorta like gettting a crown on a tooth. What I have now is the equivalent of a "temporary". I'm happy to be closer to having the process "done" - but the anticipation is the worst. My stomach is acting up and I'm having trouble sleeping...

Went to a neighborhood wine social last night and chatted with a neighbor who recently had surgery for a melanoma on her leg. We swapped plastic surgeon notes, and talked about how a cancer diagnosis really messes with your head, and that we both started drinking much more wine after receiving the news! :drinking2: She is even younger than I am - so it's nice to have someone who can relate!!

Keeping fingers crossed that you get through the surgery without too many :butterfly: Everything will be FINE!!!

I hate having any kind of surgery. I understand how you feel.

Take care, I'll be thinking of you!

Love,
Mars
