Job Hunting
Well, on Friday, my boss asked me to leave the company. So I now join the job hunting ranks. You all have heard what an ass he is. He hasn't even told the staff yet and will do so in a memo. Can you believe it? There are only 10 people max in this office! He also thinks I'm going to work this week. Yeah Right! I'm in cleaning out my email and getting my stuff together. It might take a couple days. I also may have to go home because it's setting off anxiety symptoms being here.

Oh Katy-
I'm sorry it turned out this way - but honestly? I think you'll be better off having moved on. He seemed unwilling to *want* to work things out from the beginning, and was looking for someone to blame. That's a real crappy environment to have to work in day in/day out. I think you may feel better physically, over time, as well. Working with toxic people takes its toll on your well-being...
I sincerely hope you find something much more satisfying and pleasant And a memo? What a #*&$& !! I think this blow-hard is due for a voodoo doll - I'd be more than happy to stick a few pins in him!
Take care of yourself - we are here as you go through this life transition...
Love,
Mary

Katy,
I have to agree with Mary. I couldn't work in that kind of atmosphere. The "memo" pretty well defines his character, doesn't it. He has a huge communications problem, (and probably always will).
Best of luck in your job search. I know it will be stressful for a while, but in the long run, as Mary mentioned, I think your body and your general health will appreciate being rid of the bottomless pit of stress that he created for you.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Well, it's all been said............so just let me say that I agree with the others. I think this will prove to be a good thing for you in the long run (perhaps even the short run), especially for your health.
