Grrrrr@#!
I know that there are worse things in life....but we may have another shift bid in November...but I have decided this time to not stress over it any more than necessary. Last time I had a flare that lasted a while and I do not need that. I call these high mucky mucks real dumb! I only plan to work a few more years before I retire, so maybe I can hang in there.
Fuzzy nuts is at it again with hole digging, So we have decided to get a trap...and relocate the critter. I named him that because he reminded me of a squirrel that used to torment the dog that we named that. Squirrel would stand just out of reach of the dog after stealing dog food from the dog. Drove the dog nuts. Squirrel was fuzzy...hence Fuzzy nuts. I had pics to show all of you but can't seem to get them uploaded, so if I figure it out (whatever may be the problem) I will share.
Well hopefully we will have a good rest of the week. Love Oma Nighty nite all!!!!!

Hi Oma,
How large are those image files that you are trying to upload? If your explorer view doesn't show the file size, just right click on the file, and select "properties" from the drop down list, to see the file size. If the file size is something like 40 or 50 Kb, the image file will upload fairly quickly, but if the size is in the hundreds of Kb, it can take several minutes to upload, on a slow dialup connection. If the file size is in the Mb range, (thousands of Kb), then it would take a very long time to upload.
Anti-virus programs and firewalls can cause problems when trying to upload image files, especially large ones. For example, I have to completely disable Trend Micro PC-cillin, if I want to e-mail large image files as attachments. Just turning off the e-mail protection is not enough - I have to disable the entire program.
You might try turning off your anti-virus program while you are uploading the image files. If that doesn't work, you might try turning off Vista's firewall, also. Don't forget to turn it back on after you are through uploading the images, though. If Vista's firewall turns out to be the problem, you should be able to set up an "exception" for ImageShack, (or whichever image-hosting program you prefer to use), so that it will allow you to use it in the future.
Love,
Tex

Oma's having a major flare over the popeye's chicken I ate yesterday. I was on the phone with a card holder and as soon as she hung up I was ion not busy bitton and ru ning to the potty. Tokk two Imodium at 8:30am and one around 1pm....seemed to slow up things. So for lunch I ate chicken noodle soup and green tea. Hopefully it will keep slowing up. Bland supper tonight. DO NOT EAT POPEYE'S CHICKEN IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE "RJ!" GOTTA RUN (NO PUN INTENDED THERE) Love Oma

Hi Oma,
Apparently Phillips Petroleum once made a rodent repellent, (that is, they used to make it), called R-55, that was tested to repel prairie dogs. However, the active ingredient is Chlorophacinone, (Trade names Rozol, Microzul, Ramucide, Ratomet, Raviac, Topitox), and these days it is used as a rodenticide, since it has anticoagulant properties.
I believe the most practical way to capture prairie dogs is by flooding them out of their burrows. Here's an article that tells how to capture them using water and detergent:
http://digital.library.okstate.edu/oas/ ... _30nf.html
That's a pretty old article, but I'm sure the technique still works. I assume that the reason why a detergent is used, is because it is a wetting agent, (it defeats surface tension), and thereby enhances the ability of water, (or any chemical in solution in the water), to make integral contact with the surface of any object being exposed to it, (in this case, a prairie dog). IOW, the detergent makes the water more effective, by helping it to penetrate better.
Popeye's chicken is probably loaded with gluten, (like most commercially-prepared chicken). I hope you get over it soon.
Love,
Tex
