Bathroom Update 1
Oh, my. My house looks like a train wreck. But they are making progress. It's mostly demo right now which is really going backwards, but Dave, my contractor, keeps telling me that it really IS forward.
Poor Senor Oscar has been tearing the Dreaded Wallpaper off for days. He is in my bathroom now, steaming and scraping. I KNEW I hated that wall paper the minute I set eyes on it. Now I REALLY hate it.
The guys were in my bathroom yesterday and took the TP out of the potty/shower room. There I sat with my pants around my ankles and NO TOILET PAPER!!! I shook myself off as best I could and hopped into the other room and found a roll under a bunch of other stuff in the corner. I took care of business and then came out and very nicely explained in Spanish, Italian, and English about how ladies need toilet paper handy at ALL TIMES! They were embarrassed and abashed, but we ended up giggling.
Isn't this fun???
Love,
Sally

How awful to be caught like that but how funny that you explained in three languages about the bum fodder paper. I bet you will really like it when the potty room is done huh? I decided when we build the house out here on the land...I want it good sized and have a plan in my mind that need to write down. Keep us updated Sally....Love to hear the bathroom tales. Love Oma
This reminds me of a funny story that my french lady friend told me about when she first started to date her future husband. He had taken her to meet his parents for the very first time, and she asked to use the bathroom, being nervous and all. Well she did her job, and was sitting on the throne and couldn't find the paper to wipe up, but she didn't know the proper way to ask for it in English, and these were totally new people to her, and wanted to impress them. So after thinking for sometime, she finally yelled out, " Where is the Paper Toilet" . All she heard was a burst of belly laughing from the other room. She did finally find the paper, but it took her awhile to finally come out of the B/R. And you know it had to become the joke that she could never live down either.
But don't you just hate that. The first time I started working over the firehall at the Credit Union I had the runs, so used the ladies office bathroom, and flushed. To my horror, the water would go down, I watched it raise higher and higher and there was nothing I could do. So crap ended up all over the bathroom floor and then I had the further horror of asking them to call for it to be cleaned up city workers. All of course that I knew.................I was horrified. It also led me to a fear of flushing. I flush first to see if it will actually work now. That's a phobia eh? But what to call it? Hmmmmmmmm
Night night
Gentle hugs
