I Heard From Polly Today

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Since Polly hadn't logged on in a dozen days, I was a bit concerned about the problem she's been having with her sinus treatment program, so I e-mailed her this morning. Here's her response:
Hiya Wayne!

So you finally sent the posse out to find me, eh? LOL! I am alive and kickin' and so sorry I haven't been able to visit the board more.

Actually, I am juggling so many things - more than usual: still working (part-time), taking a course in environmental science at Johns Hopkins U., dealing daily with 3 fragile, seniors with deteriorating health (Mom, MIL, and step-mom) as well as a son still at home, serving on the board and chairing a committee at my local nature center, and my newest activity - serving on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Natural History Society, where I just volunteered to chair a major committee, the Program Committee. (I must be crazy!)

Re the sinus, I have having sinus surgery next Mon.- at a local hospital, outpatient, general anesthesia (YUK, but they need me out totally when working so close to the brain). Seven weeks of Cipro haven't cured the infection but have at least held it in check (and have given me SUPERB bowel function). Of course, I am NOT looking forward to it, and I'll be a rotten patient. I DO like my ENT doc very much and have complete faith in him, however. I have spent this week fitting in a visit to my PCP for the pre-op physical and EKG and the lab for bloodwork.

Thanks so much for thinking of me. I probably won't have a chance to post before the surgery......but feel free to either post this message directly or paraphrase as you wish. Tell eveyone I miss them lots and that they are always in my thoughts.

Lots of love,

Polly
She certainly is busy. I got exhausted just reading about all the things she has going on. Looks like Monday is the day.

Love,
Tex

Thanks Tex for posting the message you received from Polly. I am worn out too reading how many directions she is going.

Polly - Good luck on Monday and will be sending prayers your way.

Miss you and Love, Maggie

 WoW, I feel like a slug comared to her!! I don't know how she juggles everything.

Polly, if you get a chance to read this before your surgery, know that I am thinking of you and hoping for the absolute best.

Hi Tex

Thanks for the update, I imagined that something was going on for her not to be posting on the forum.

She has taken a lot of "responsabilities"...

I hope that the surgery turns out well, Polly. Take care, my dear friend.
I will send possitive thoughts to you.

Hugs & love,
Tessa

I don't know how she does it all. I would be a wreck! She is one amazing woman. Bless her heart!
