Today mr. L came home with a set up of Uniden phones---set of 3--and this is like using a computer

Those are nice. My son has that kind. You can program them or not. I think you'll like them. I have a similar one (not as nice as yours) but it was pretty easy to program, just following the directions that came with it. The only thing that annoys me at my son's house is that they don't put the phone back in its cradle, so when you hear it ringing you have to search for it.
