Have a question for you all

Every once and a while I get shakey and a bit weak.....have any of you had that experience? It's strange, I don't have any blood pressure issues. My arthiymia Spelled wrong is under control....I just wonder if stress can make you feel that way. Love Oma

Since I have had thyroid & adrenal issues it seems that blood sugar issues have become a problem. If I go too long between meal then I get weak and shakey. Sometimes I even get light headed when I stand up quickly. I have started eating more protein and good carbs about every two and a half hours. Sometimes I can go three hours but usually not more than that. I also notice if I have mostly carbs at breakfast I will feel like crap in an hour. My doc also told me to give up caffine, that was so hard but it has worked wonders. Now I drink a tea called Yerba Mate'. It is caffine free but it gives you energy with out the caffine buzz. I love it. Oh, it is also good for mental clarity.....not to sure about that...hehe!

Hugs

Hi Oma,

I agree with Lori - it sounds as though it could be hypoglycemia. Here's some information on it:

Thanks for the input, and for the site Tex...I have always been borderline but never gave it alot of thought. Maybe I crossed over the line there. I know about the yerba mate tea....But just never thought about it. I think I will get some and tweak my diet some. Thanks love Oma

It happens to me too.

In relation with Umber´s comment I have to admit that I eat very often or I feel shakey and weak too. Sometimes I need to eat salty things and a minute later something sweet...

I had to stop caffeine too... (Coke).

You see, you are not alone.
