In my opinion, firewalls and anti-virus programs are causing more problems, (and mental anguish), these days, due to installation problems and bogging down computers, than viruses used to cause. The programmers just can't seem to find a happy medium.

There's always AVG anti-virus. It's a free download, and it works fine. I'm using it on one computer, and haven't had any problems. It doesn't have all the extra BS in it - it's just an antivirus program, and grisoft, (the developers), also provide free updates. I think a couple of other members here are using it, also. I know that grannyH uses it, 'cause she's the one who got me interested in it.

Had a todo with KAIT

Post by barbaranoela »

well we didnt go to the school holiday fair--instead Lou--did some repairs around Lynn;s house---and then we went to grab a bite and we hit this cute place to eat and THIS is where I blew @ Kait--

Yes I know Kait has/and is having issues BUT I have had enuf of her *MOUTH*
Kait is a veggie---and until we sat down and looked @ the menu all Kait did was RAG @ Lynn for NOT knowing if they served pasta--and she went on and on--

I slammed my hand on the table and looked her in the eye--and told Kait that I have had enuf of *U always BLAMING your *mom* for every knit picking thing that doesnt go your way---went on to say--*your* mom has been with U every step of the way and never let U flounder-- she has given up her bit of enjoying life to keep U going and YOUR mouth is always bitching @ her---ENUF---I am tired of hearing U!!!
Well Kait just looked @ me---Louie didnt move--Lynn didnt move---

Then I threw the menu @ her and said---have a salad!!!

And Lynn then says to me *thank U mom*

U see I always coddled---well thats over---and I know this was the *right* time cus I could see how Kait felt---very very knowing what I said is true--
Then on the way home we saw a horrible accident----a car went careening thru this dumb piece of meshing(used on the parkway twist and turns) and went flying down the hill--
Cars stopped--people trying to get down to them---police--ER---ambulances and my heart was in my stomach---

This day hasnt been one of the better days in my life---
I hope whoever was in that car survived~~~~

Till tomorrow-

Barbara,
I'm so sorry you had to witness the accident. It is awful to see something like that and feel so helpless.

On the other hand, I am PROUD of your speaking to Kait like you did. Kids tend to forget their place - they seem to be so disrespectful to their elders, themselves and each other. I see it more and more it seems. I know that Kait is a good girl but sometimes kids need to be reminded that some things are better left unsaid! LOL

You are still loved even though you spoke your mind - don't feel bad. If Kait looked at you with the look that said she knew you were right - then hey - you had your say, she quit complaining and being disrespectful and she still loves you! Obviously, Lynn needed your support then too! YIPPEE for you!

Love and hugs for your bad day - may tomorrow be better.

:happybirthday: to Mr. Louie too!

Love,
Mars

Wow!

You did have quite a day! What you said in the restaurant was tough, but I agree that it needed to be said, and you were the right one to say it, and you handled it most effectively. I'm sure Kait realizes that you said it out of love, and I hope it sinks in.
