Bathroom Update II

Post by Sally »

The wallpaper is finally all off!!!! It only took a week.

Senor Javier is painting the other bathrooms now. The real paint. The Powder Room is Chinese red and the guest room is sage green. My bathroom will be sort of cafe-au-lait, very peaceful and serene.

My biggest concern is that they get one toilet hooked up before they remove the last one. I cannot go to the corner gas station mainly because there isn't one.

Counter tops arrive Monday and the sinks are in the garage. They are gorgeous.

I think this is really going to turn out nice. I sure hope so, anyway. Of course, anything would be an improvement over the way they were.

Love,

Sally

It really gives a person an uplift to make a change to your surroundings sometimes. Glad you are able to do that for yourself.

We want pics when it's all done - OK.

Sounds lovely! My whole house needs a face lift, but we've gotten as far as taking the teddy bear wall paper boarder off in Kayla's room (she was miffed that we gave a 7 year old a room with teddy bear wallpaper), and have spackled as necessary and bought the paint. That was all in about February/March time. LOL. We'll get there some day.

It sounds like you are having allot of fun with the decorating. I like a bathroom to be nice and big and enjoyable to be in, I mean if that is where you are going to spend allot of your time, right? I remember when I was living out west, I did the one bathroom the way I wanted it. It had my curtains and it had everything in it that I liked, and even though it was small, sometimes when I was in there, I would think that it was the only place that looked like I lived there. My bathroom here is nice and big, and I have it painted in a refreshing celery, sponged on lightly over cream and little dabs of olive and bronze. Then I had Olive colored shower curtains, plain, like a nice crisp linen, and I bought some nice bronze shower hooks, and some olive towels, that I don't use, lol, and some big fluffly towels in celery, and purple. And I got some picture frames at the dollar store and put some photos I took of unusual plants and places and some fake plants and voila, it looks like its all mine. I also got later on, a great deal on a spa shower center, which has a shower head with different settings, on a long hose, and that I use on Pebbles. So much easier to bath her. The one thing I am going to get later on, is another pantry that will fit beside the toilet, for extra storage of things. Right now I have a make-up table and chair, and it is never used, so that will go and be replaced with something I can actually use.
But when I sit in the tub, I can relax, and everything around me makes it more enjoyable.
I hope you will share some of your pictures of the after decorating results, it should look pretty cool.

And you mean to say you got rid of the splashy wallpaper in the bathroom, now what could have been wrong with it? Was it the over all zing it gave your eyes when you walked in, or something else???

Anyway, I will pray for you to have at least one working toilet before they start on the next one. Did you ever go back to that big barn place we were at last summer where you can buy things that they selvaged from old buildings?? They had so many cool things there for decorating.

Hugs

YUM, Wendy, your bathroom sounds good enough to eat.....let's see.....celery, cream, olive. You sound like quite the decorator. Instead of you giving ME a makeover, why don't you makeover my bathroom? LOL!

Wendy, your potty room sounds really pretty!

Very soothing!

Wendy! After the description of your bathroom, I will have to go and make my contractors stop and do it all over again.

I have a sage green bathroom. Celery and purple towels sound great for in there. And a new shower curtain. Celery. I love that.

Thanks for the ideas.

Lots of love,
