Where has 2007 gone?

Post by Liz »

I can't believe that it is only just over 2 weeks to Christmas. The year has gone so fast with so much happening. I suppose that is what happens when you are always busy with something or other, even if it is doctors appointments etc. This one has not been a very good one for me but I am hoping that most of the current problems with my new regime will be ironed out soon. Constant infections & having to take Keflex constantly is the pits. You know the effect that stuff has on the bowel.

 :???:

I am quite comfortable with the catheterisation now & am very very careful with the hygiene of it all but still can not get free of the infections. Expect the bowel problems would have something to do with it. It's like a cat chasing it's tail. Infection - Keflex - worse D - infection and so on and so on.

Anyway, enough whinging & whining.

I am only now sitting down today to do Christmas cards. Isn't that terrible. It just suddenly caught up with me. Well I have at least dome most of the Christmas gift shopping. I have been very busy with View club, Coaching, etc. We are having our last luncheon meeting for View club on Thursday & some of us are putting on a Pantomime - of sorts. It is Cinderella done in rhyme but we have sited it in outback Queensland with a visiting prince staying at a sheepstation & Cinderella & ugly sisters at the local Pub of which their father is the publican. That's me, the drunken publican. When we have put this on at my bowls club I have played the fairy godmother - see photo - thats Cinderella with me.

It is all a lot of fun & everyone has a good time, especially the people on the stage making a nit of themselves.

Anyway, I hope to be able to get online a bit more soon as things quieten down.

Love to all

Liz

How delightful!!! Wonderful that you are able to keep up with everything even though you have been having so many problems. I do admire you for that.

Great to hear from you and I hope you can get some rest before you sprint off to 2008.

Hi Liz,

The play sounds fantastic and I too wonder where 2007 has gone - so FAST! People say the older you get the faster the years go and I am starting to believe that.

Hope you medically have a much better 2008 and love the fact that you have an air conditioner on and we are using heaters.

Love and may Father Christmas bring you everything you want.

Love, Maggie
