New Dr.

Post by kate_ce1995 »

So, I went to a psychiatrist on Monday to adjust my antidepressant because the doc who put me on it decided their office isn't "qualified" to adjust it

Anyways, we were discussing issues, and I tell him I think part of the anxiety attacks is triggered by gluten. I'm good about the diet now, but I know I'm getting cross contaminated in my kitchen from time to time and I'm not always perfect when eating out (although I don't eat bread...its sauces that I sometimes choose to not ask about).

Anyways, he asks who is supporting me in this diet. I said me. My husband is supportive but its up to me to choose how good I'm going to be. He says, this is no good, and recommends a clinic that believe in food sensitivities! He fully believes that food sensitivities are way overlooked/ignored. FINALLY, someone who will take me seriously!

So I'll make an appointment after the holidays. Its hard enough getting full weeks in with the snow and holiday activities and such right now, which with a new job is tough.

The new job is going well, although from time to time I do feel the loss of not having in-office colleagues.

That is good news Katy. I sure hope you benefit from the new medical people.

I'm sure you will soon be feeling right at home with the people in your new job and I'm glad it's going well. You're old boss had/has major problems.

Sounds interesting.

Katy, you work all alone?

I think the clinic sounds great. It will be interesting to check them out anyway. I have an idea you may already know a lot of what they could tell you. Maybe they would be like AA for an alcoholic?

Did the dr. adjust the medication--what you originally went for?

Hi Kathy,

Yes he did adjust the meds

I don't work alone per se...I'm in an office with 15 to 20 people, but they are all in the company's transportation and site civil divisions, while I'm geotechnical. Ultimately, the goal is to have a steady work load which will allow me to hire staff to work under me. But in the mean time, I am working for the geotechnical division of the firm in Albany, but able to do the work locally. The local staff are great, but it's just not the same as working with people in-house on projects.

See what you mean--you're alone in a crowd. Oh well, at least you don't still have that crumby nit-picky boss you used to have. Better lonely than him for company!
