Update Re: Jasmine and Lost meds

Post by annie oakley »

I got up early this am to take Jasmine for her surgery. :driving: The roads right around here were not Icey so I figured I was ok...until :yikes: I see out ahead of me an Icey bridge. I am a large baby when it comes to Ice. The Ice was sparatic. It would be dry for a mile then out of no where it was Icey. Good Thing I leave way early, cause I slowed down and went slow. We had to go about 25-30 mi to coleman. And I was never so glad to get there. :xfingers: The vet here in winters is ok but he hasn't got a good bedside manner and isn't as gentle As I want a vet to be. After he cut Bucks nails he scared me. He's be ok in a pinch. Anyway, we get there and not only has the lump gone down but it's no longer there. So no surgery. But Bad news is Buck Is waayyyy over weight. So We have to wean him and Jasmine off the goodies. Seems I did him no favors giving too many goodies, I feel so bad that he's over weight. But now I have to fix it. :weirdnana:
I also Had to go to the pharmacy and try to get them to refill my heart pills (Norpace cr 150mg) My Pharmacy has some of the sweetest people working there. It seems I lost my bottle of meds that I just had filled last thursday. My Insurance was nice enough to fill it again under the insurance and even gave me a discount. I was out this am after we got home from the vet Digging thru a couple garbage bags that Mike had not burned yet, think that maybe the pills had accidently slipped into the garbage....no such luck. That was my morning. Now I am Making cookies for my Team at work and Mikes electrical crew. And then Back to work tomorrow. Cold or not. Love Oma

Oma,

Well that's good news. No surgery is the best kind, by far.

That was lucky that the insurance covered the lost pills, too.

You know, we only live about 200 miles apart, (I'm guessing), but there's a huge difference in the climate between the two areas. It didn't get below about 38 here this morning, and it quickly warmed up into the 40s. We had fog and drizzle all day, but it's predicted to warm up to 78 tomorrow, ahead of the next norther. It gets cold out there in West Texas. LOL.

Love,
Tex

I can believe the difference in the weather in Texas. Even in Pennsylvania there is often a big difference between where we are (next to NY state line) and Philadelphia.

Oma, so glad Jasmine is OK and the lump is GONE. Hope it stays that way. Good luck with Buck's diet. Really glad you made the trip safely. Actually, it seems my Dad's birthday turned out to be pretty lucky for you and Jasmine over all, even though it was stressful.

TEX>>>> You are right for some reason there is so much difference in weather just 200 mi apart, strange. When we get lots of rain you get less and vis versa. We had real heavy fog lasy night and misting allnight. It misted all day yeasterday, yet the roads were only wet, not Icey on the way to San Angelo this am. Yesterday going the other way was Icey wierd huh?

SHIRLEY***** Yes maybe yuor Dads birthdat was lucky. Mike was relieved his Baby did not have to go under the Knife. Buck and JAsmine are not happy about the diet....but they will get used to it. They didn't get the junk food they usually get tonight. I cut up Turkey cubes for snacks instead of the one that are already packaged.
