Too good not to share

Post by Carol Arnett »

Twas the month before Christmas

When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

Why the Politically Correct Police had taken away,

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing,

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just a " Holiday ".

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit. Pushing folks
down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod.

Something was changing, something quite odd!

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down

At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears

You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen

On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"

Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say

Shout MERRY
CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday !

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! Love, Carol

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha

That is great Carol.

Merry Xmas too from Down Under where the same sort of rubbish is going on. Do you know that they also tried to stop the store Santas from saying Ho Ho & told them to say Ha Ha or He He because Ho Ho sounded too much like a word used for women of a certain profession. What a load of poppycock. They got shouted down thank goodness.

There are people who have come to our country because life in their own had become intolerable. Many of them immediately try to change our way of life to what they left behind & impose their values & religions on us. The Politically Correct Police try to make us comply with things that go against everything we have grown up with just so these people won't be offended by our religious beliefs & traditions.

Love

Liz

Liz,

I'm sorry to see that happening in Australia. It's been going on in Texas so long that the "newcomers" have just about ruined the rugged peace and tranquility that we used to have here. As you say, they move in to get away from their past, but it doesn't take long before they apparently forget why they moved in the first place, and then they proceed to try to resurrect their old environment, in their new surroundings. <sigh>

The "Politically Correct" movement is one of the most pathetic concepts that was ever dreamed up, and they've just about politically corrected us to death, in this country. (Imagine what sort of a convoluted mind is required to dream up a plan like that). LOL. Common sense seems to be an increasingly rare commodity in the world, today.

By the way, that Santa Claus censoring story is hilarious. Thanks for sharing that. Hahahahahaha.

Love,
Tex
