update back and TOE-know the TOE will grab U all
Well saw my orthopedic today----took X-rays and saw the CEEmented verterbre as compared to when it was fractured----AMAZING---to think that one can be *glued* together--
I was very relieved to hear him tell me that what I am going thru is to be XPECTED----He figures another 6weeks---and I should feel my *oats* again---
THANK U JON,said I---cus I thought I was being neurotic--(which I can be) and he replied *Barbara U had SPINAL SURGERY* and the anesthesia does do weird things to the body---including the Xtreme tiredness--the headaches that come and go---U do what your body can do!! *got it,he says*
So after that we went food shopping---and half way thru I was in cus the Xhaustion just dragged me down---I had to sit on a bench while Luigi finished and checked out--
Got home and slept for 4 hours
But @ least I am WALKING and thats better than being in a brace---
So thats it---I always need *reassurance*
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
And this will crack U up --can U believe that after all this time--my fungiated toe nail might have to be REMOVED!!!!
I was furious with this *toe* man--I told him *well U should have come to the hospital and did my toe while they did my back!!!
There is a U put ya backside in and turn in all about-and ya put ya BIG TOE in and shake it all about --well close--
See U all--hope the new year started with big shiny dayzs

Hi Barbara,
It definitely is always good to know that what we are experiencing is normal, when we're recovering from something such as surgery. It'll be a little better every day, until the first thing you know, you'll be back to normal, and good as new.
Yep, after breaking your back, being able to walk again this soon, without a brace, is a pretty good trick, really. I used to think that if someone broke their back, they had to stay in bed, unable to move, for months and months.
That's a heck of a note, though, that your toenail might have to be removed.
That song is called Ballin' the Jack, isn't it?
Luve,
Galahad

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I thought Barbara was talking about the "Hokey Pokey" so I looked up the lyrics for "Ballin' the Jack". It sounds like more fun.
From coast to coast,
From Canada to Mexico,
They're doin' a new dance
A tried-and-a-true dance
That will sweep the land
And you'll think it's so grand
You'll have to learn how to do it
So please don't boo woo it
Coz we've got this little dance
That's gonna rise to fame
It's sure to put most any other dance to shame
The turkey-trot, the bunny-hug, the tickley-toe
Will be forgotten when we start to go!
Mr Leader, won't you start the syncopation?
And we'll begin our little demonstration...
Now, first you put your two knees
Close up tight.
Then you sway it to the left
Then you sway it to the right.
Step around the floor kind of nice and light
Then you twist around and twist around
With all of your might.
Stretch your lovin' arms straight out in space
Then you do the eagle rock with style and grace.
Swing your foot way round and bring it back
Now that's what I call ballin' the jack!
Love, Shirley

morning all
Galahad and Shirley----
Ballin the Jack (and thanks for posting it Shirley) is more fun to do--I could almost feel myself doing it ---
Galahad---the Hokey Pokey--was what I was trying to *sing* but couldnt think of the title---
So now Louie---has me doing some Xercizers--sitting down with my weights-- and get my arms stronger---walking back and forth from the kitchen to Deb;s room--and a few other sit and be fit things that I am hoping will build me up again---
YOGA is out for now and I gather when I am able to start it I will have to inform Jo-T of my issue---and see what she thinks I SHOULD do-- but thats a way off--for the time being--
So I shall now go Hokey-Pokeying and Ballin the Jack- back upstairs to have another cuppa- cus Mr. L. is going to take me out again--insists tis better to get out for a bit so that I dont keep fallin down into the black hole----he has become a PT instructor--
later--
