Good News and Bad News About Osteoporosis

Post by tex »

The good news is that scientists claim that they have "created" a genetically-engineered carrot that provides 41% more calcium than a conventional carrot, which should be of benefit in helping to prevent osteoporosis.

The bad news is that a group of "killjoys" at the University of Western Australia claim that their research shows that eating chocolate regularly, causes reduced bone density and strength, and increases the risk of osteoporosis and fracture. :yikes:

Maybe we can get rich by developing new products based on chocolates with a carrot center, or carrots dipped in chocolate. LOL.
