Smart Water : FYI
During the past 2 months I have been drinking Smart Water...a brand of H2O found in grocery store...it has electrolytes but no sugar....ER Doc was prepared to hospitalize me when he first saw me, but Electrolyte Panel was stellar despite 15-20 episodes of Big D a day!! So still drink one bottle every 4 or 5 days now just to be safe!!!!! Did not know if you all had heard of Smart Water or not....so for what it's worth....
I don't believe that Smart Water has been discussed here before, though there have been numerous discussions of electrolyte replacement solutions.
Incidentally, a deficiency of vitamin B-12 is a common problem with MC, and I just remembered that I read somewhere that diabetes can make the problem much worse, so be sure that you're getting enough B-12. The only kind that is effective enough to be of any benefit when MC is active, is the sublingual version, (IOW, you let the lozenge dissolve under your tongue, and it goes directly into your bloodstream), the B-12 pills that are designed to be swallowed, are almost totally wasted, due to the malabsorption problem that MC causes. You can also get injections, but the sublingual lozenges seem to work very well. Your body can store vitamin B-12 for many months, so you may not be experiencing a deficiency just yet, but it's best to err on the safe side, since vitamin B-12 is so important for good health.
Thanks for the tip, because some of us can't drink Gatorade, due to ingredient sensitivities.
