Saw my GI (in passing) yesterday....

Post by CAMary »

Mike had a colonoscopy. He has colon CA in his family - good news is he got the *all clear* and doesn't need to have another one for 10 years...

Anyways - *our* GI stoppped by recovery to give us the good news...he said to me "hello - I haven't seen you in awhile - I'll assume that's because all is well?" I said "Why yes, all is well with me, thank you!" I wonder what he'll say when I see him - at my last visit he gave me labwork for the celiac panel. I opted to just throw it away  , and I haven't had reason to go back....

The whole staff was in awe of my husband, who opted to undergo the whole procedure w/o any sedation or narcotics :yikes: - I guess just 2-3 people a year choose to go that route! Anyways, he didn't want to waste a perfectly good day off work feeling groggy...

It was nice being the caregiver, rather than the patient this time!

And oh yeah - witnessing him do the prep? :toilet3: a nasty trip down memory lane!!
