Thank U so much for the Xplanation of what me and my family were called by SIL's mother!!!
I almost feel like calling her UP and informing SIL that neither she nor her family knew the right terminology for us CATHOLICS!!
But of course I wont---time to let sleeping *dogs* lay!!!
And time for me to be the better person---
thanks again Galahad---
good night

CALLING GALAHAD
the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control
Barbara,
You're most welcome. I'm guessing that "let sleeping *dogs* lay", has a special meaning in this case, (since you emphasized the word "dogs"). Hahahahaha.
I think the problem was that the Yiddish language doesn't have a special word for what they were trying to say, so they just did the "best" they could with what they had. Apparently some (Jewish) people use the term shiksa as slang, to describe any non-Jewish girl, though using it that way is not really proper Yiddish.
Good night Barbara.
Luve,
Galahad

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
