Judith's Visit

Post by Liz »

Judith, Ruban & Anisha's visit went all too quickly. Everyone, especially the kids had a great time together.

We had a lovely little celebration lunch for Robert’s 70th the day before they left, just family & a few close friends & neighbours. Judith wrote a song & she played the piano and sang with Suzi & Jane singing backing harmony. She based it on a saying that Robert always had, “Never above you, never below you, always be with you”

It was a wonderful happy day. It was very hot but we all wore as little as possible & had our party in our car port where we usually get a bit of a sea breeze.

The only one missing once again from the family photos was Judith's husband Balan. He had so much time off last year to complete his exams that he did not feel justified in taking any more. We have some great photos to remember the time. I will post some more in our photo section.

These a just a few special ones

Nice pictures! And it must really be wonderful to have such musically talented daughters.

Yes Wayne, Judith wrote the song & the music, but then that is her business more or less. She is a graduate of the Brisbane Conservatorium of Music, majoring in voice. She has a beautiful voice & both she & Jane used to sing in a choir when younger. The girls have always sung & harmonised together. What they did for Robert was wonderful & just what he needed at this time. He has been very despondent since his friend Graham died in September & had lost interest in life to certain extent. They had been friends since babies. The girls effort has given him a new lease on life & he has started to want to do things again. That and the cats have helped bring him out of his depression.

I have posted some more pics in the photo section.

I remember seeing Judith's graduation picture.

That certainly was a wonderful thing for them to do, and as you say, the timing was ideal. A great family is better than all the medicine in the world, I would think.

The other pictures are great, too. I really like the "after the song" picture. It clearly shows that they had a heck of a lot of fun doing it.

I think they are great pics too. I love the one that I have put in my photos under "Judiths Visit" showing the girls after they had sang their song to their father. The emotion & happiness is so obvious on their faces. And if you could have seen his, it was a picture. Our neighbour remarked that he had never seen Robert cry before.

Afternoon/Night/Morning Liz,

Can never remember the time difference. LOL

What a gorgeous family and what a wonderful gift to give. One of my bosses here had a musically talented family and they did the same for their 80 year old grandfather who just loved it.

You are blessed.

Love, Maggie
