tODAY i HAD A VISIT WITH MY *SIGH*KI-A-TRIST*

Anyway--she asked me *ARE U EATING---YES--DRINKING--yes
wHAT ARE U EATING--of course I also say--EATING has diminished a bit and I add PLEASE DONT SAY---AGE!!!! As I always was a small eater person--

So I start my listing----
fake eggs with whole wheat bread
Banana
sometimes a waffle smeared with jelly and PEANUT BUTTTER--

And she STOPS me and says Barbara---Bananas are constipating--PEANUT BUTTER is constipating
So I *say* well I dont eat them every day nor do I eat a :music: lovely bunch of BANANAS :music: every day --
She tells me *JUNK the peanut butter--and I say :raspberry:  and WHAT!!!! drop my peanut butter!!! :banned:
I scoop a spoonful here and there--gotta luv that gooey stuff that almost makes U *choke* as U try to get it down--

She is insisting thats my problem===and all the time I thought I was DEPRESSED :weirdnana: but she did add my body is still regrouping from the surgery---thank goodness--- cus thats where my thoughts are stuck to---

So has anyone something to add to this session????

Barbara,

I love the way you can turn a simple report about a doctor visit into a work of literary art that has me laughing continuously.

She may be right, believe it or not. The problem may be the combination, not the individual food items. For example, I don't eat peanut butter these days, but I almost always eat at least two to four bananas on most days, and I ain't ever constipated. I used to have an occasional problem with C, back when I was eating dairy products, but that stopped when I stopped eating the dairy products.

Check this article out - it mentions that a combination of bananas, cheese, and peanut butter, for example, can cause a problem for some people. The article also describes a home remedy for C that I've never heard of before, but I'll let you read it there, rather than reprinting it here. LOL.

Sooooooooo, apparently, the cure for depression is to not eat bananas and peanut butter. Did I get that right? LOL.

What an entertaining report!!

Anyway, someone told me today about a "laxative" that I've never heard of before - prune juice with BROWN SUGAR added. I've heard of the prune juice, of course, but never heard about adding brown sugar.

Anybody else ever heard of that?

Nope, but I think I read somewhere that pear juice is even better than prune juice, (without the brown sugar).

Morning Barbara,

I will echo what everyone else said pertaining to your relay of the psych story. You have such a talent. You can send me the PB but not the bananas - deathly allergic to them.

Love, Mags
