My worst time and still is early in the morning. In the beginning, it was all the time and mostly a.m. and night. Now night badness has dwindled away. God Bless Entocort. 3 mg every other day.

Hope things improve and they will.

Love, Maggie

It's awful isn't it? My husband is absolutely stunned sometimes by the noises coming out of my gut. He jokes with me and tells me I have to sleep on the couch when it's real bad.

Glad to hear that this is actually a symptom - I thought prior to my dx that I just had a nervous stomach, now I have an explanation.

Wow Pat, I can't imagine having to deal with this while having a patient's head in your lap. Glad to hear going fructose free rid you of this awful symptom.

Erin, did you have a better night last night?

There's a name for this noise, of course. The correct term for gas rumbling through a digestive system, is borborygmi, (a single rumble would be a borborygmus). I'm not sure that this adequately describes the loud gurgling noises that occur with IBDs, but it's probably the closest term available in the English language, (although the name is based on a Greek word).

Last night was definitely better for me and i did get some sleep thank god! I felt 'off' all day so i was a bit nervous going to bed but happy to have the cat wake me up this morning instead of my stomach during the night!

I also have a perscription for Librax but i don't take it often as it makes me kind of groggy the next morning but if i haven't slept in a long time i will take one and it does help!
