I've Upgraded The System Code That Operates This Board
Hi All,
The folks who write the code for php boards released a new version upgrade last week, and I just finished making the necessary code changes to the system software that we are using, to make sure that we're using the most up to date version. It's necessary to update the code about once or twice a year, in order to stay ahead of hackers, as they continually find new ways to exploit any weak spots that might be in the code.
Since our board has close to a hundred modifications, (to add the various bells and whistles that make using it easier, and more fun), I can't just copy the new version over the top of the code that we're using - that would remove all the bells and whistles. Instead, I have to make line by line code changes, to all the files that are affected. Since this opens the possibility of making an error in the code, anytime the version is updated, we have to make sure afterwards, that everything is working correctly.
I've checked various things, but there are so many options on this board, that I'd be up all night if I tried to check everything, so if anyone spots anything that does not seem to be working the way it should, please let me know, and I'll try to track down the problem.
These changes shouldn't have altered any cookies or log-in criteria, however, if some pages are not "visable" to you, or if the system keeps asking you to log in whenever you navigate from one page to another, or post a message, your cookie may need to be changed. To do that, simply delete all the cookies in the cookie cache in your browser, (or at least delete the cookie for this discussion board), and then close your browser. After that, when you try to log on to the board, the system should ask you for your username and password, and then it will set a new cookie, and after that, everything should work correctly, again.
Anyway, if you see anything that's not working correctly, please let me know, so that I can correct it.
Thanks,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
