Sold!

Post by JJ »

Yup....just a little over a week on the market and my house sold today....I have to get out by April 1st! This is terrible news! A friend may rent her basement out to me and one of my International students...the other student will hopefully want to move in with her friend....I am so worn out...emotionally and physically. The good news is that I received a great e-mail from the job I interviewed for on Monday.....they think I may be "just the ticket". We are going to talk some more....but it sounds promising. What a roller coaster ride today!

Nite nite....JJ

Well, bummer. In this housing market I can't believe it sold so fast. Must be a great house. Glad you have your friend's basement available, but maybe something else will turn up. The best thing would be a job, of course! Keep your spirits up if you can.

Dang! I thought the housing market was supposed to be in a severe slump. The news about the job interview does sound promising, though.

Do you have any friends who are Realtors? Quite often, they are aware of housing opportunities that might not even be advertised.

Hope the interview leads to a good offer.

Hi...thanks guys...the house was priced low for my neighborhood....it needs some paint inside and a little updating, but has excellent bones, a new roof, etc. The outside was painted last year and the house has great curb appeal...ratz! The realtor suggested I move back into the renovated fire house across the street...there is a 2 bdrm small condo available ...I lived there for 9 years before I moved here...but the rent is too high and it would be difficult to swing it for me and only one of my students living with me. The problem is that I will be unemployed this summer and my unemployment runs out in June! I will need to find a cheap place to land until I know where I will be moving for a teaching job. (probably not in Tacoma). Knowing that my friend's basement is an option is a relief...at least I have options.

Thanks for the support...JJ
