This is in regard to your ongoing kidney problem, that showed up last year:
Prior to your colonoscopy, (or colonoscopies), or any other exams that required a bowel cleanout, did you ever take any of these products:
Fleet Phospho-soda solution, Fleet Accu-Prep solution, or Visicol tablets
The reason I ask, is because, (according to the FDA), there is a risk of a rare, but serious type of kidney failure, connected with the use of these oral sodium phosphate products. It's called acute phosphate nephropathy.

I'm not saying that this is what happened in your case, but I thought you might need to be aware of this, since it's certainly a risk for most of us, and when I was given a Fleet prep solution, I was never advised of the existence of any risk of that type.

Jill - I Have A Question
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi...sorry I missed this post...ummmmm.....Before my colonsoscopy, I drank a gallon of the go-lytley (or whatever it's called). I don't have a disease of the kidney, the ureter had lost its elasticity and had kinked a bit...they cut that part out...now.....either it hasn't healed properly, or scar tissue has formed...I'll have more tests next September. thanks for asking....JJ
Okay, so much for that theory. I thought maybe there was a chance that the problem appeared to be in the plumbing, but it was actually in the kidney.
Thanks, and I hope they get it figured out in September.
