Pete's Pond is really jumping this morning

Post by tex »

Well, actually, it's afternoon, there, (in Botswana). In case any wildlife fans are not aware of it, you can watch streaming video of African wildlife at a waterhole called Pete's Pond at this site, (which Mars brought to my attention a couple of years ago):

Often there's good activity there about this time of day, and again around midnight, (which is the dawning of a new day there). In the last few minutes, I've seen elephants, antelope, baboons, and birds, of course. It's very relaxing entertainment, and free, to boot.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

This is really neat Tex and thank you for bringing it to my attention. I do love nature, wildlife, marine animals. It is amazing to see these animals in habitat in their own environment. I went to a few places while I was in Minnesota visiting my mother where we witnessed wild animals in their own environment-- was so neat and exciting. Though I will say when we went to this one bear site, we were very close to wild bears and there really was nothing stopping them from coming up on you if they really wanted-- and my adrenalin was pumping, lol.

Thanks!
Kelly

Thank you for the heads up, Tex. This is the first time I have seen a living thing on Pete's Pond! We went to Africa in 1995 and have seen the animals there (Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia) but I don't think we'll ever get back. This does bring back memories!
