GF, DF Gingersnaps

Post by Becky »

Found a new one at the store today. The comapy in MI-DEL. I've always thought ginger helped tummy discomfort. Now I can have a couple with a cup of tea. Yum!
Update on me. After being on Entocort since Oct. (9mg/day) and eliminating first wheat, then wheat and dairy, then wheat, dairy and soy...I'm really starting to feel stable. I'm used to the diet and enjoy the little treats I've found and I actually go hours without thinking about the bathroom. I'm able to take my 3 mile walks without fear. Life is good. I'm fearful about reducing the Entocort, my doc. wants me to go to 2 in April. But for now, life is good. And as Polly said in a post long ago..."Happiness is a dry fart!" For everyone newer than me, there is hope, it can get better!

Becky,

Thanks for the upbeat post. We love to see success stories around here.

You shouldn't have any trouble reducing the dose to 2 per day in April, as long as you remain faithful to the diet.

Hi Becky,

I am with Tex on the reduction of the Entocort. I am now down to 3 mg. every other day and at times every 3 days.

Congratulations on your success and the ability to be able to handle the diet. It is tricky at times, but there are few things I really miss.

Love, Maggie

Becky!

YAY!!!

You are on the path to health! How wonderful to hear your good news and positive outlook..

Three cheers for you! :cheerleader: :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

Polly

P.S. I do 3-4 mile walks/jogs too! However, I don't think I'll ever be able to do so again without carrying kleenex with me - it's my security blanket in case I would have to poop suddenly behind a tree. Which I have done in the past. Yikes.

P.P.S. Pamela's makes a good, soft GF ginger cookie.

P.P.P.S. Did you know that 50% of those who are gluten intolerant are also intolerant to soy?
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
