Post by barbaranoela »

it is a torn miniscus( or how ever ya spell it)and can U imagine that he wont give up this cruise---cus they can schedule him in another week??

So he is going to lug around luggage and drive all this way to Fla. then after the cruise wants to stop and see his retired friends---

I told him he can do more damage!!!!! but cant argue with an *eye-tral-ian!!!

I'm with Lou on this one. Go on the cruise. The torn meniscus will just have to wait. You guys need to get away and relax and see friends and have some fun!

I'm not sure surgery for torn meniscus isn't just a way for surgeons to make money. Did he have that surgery on the other knee and get good results? I had it on my bad knee and it made so little difference that I thought it was a total waste of time, effort and $$$. Five years later I had the knee replaced. Now THAT made a difference! Of course that's only my opinion from my experience. Others may differ.

Bill had the same thing summer before last but his healed up pretty good. I wasn't sure he'd ever walk again without surgery but he did. I've heard the surgery sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. No way to tell ahead of time.

Barb,

Well the cruise would be relaxing and give you two both a break that is much needed. If he is dead set about going, then I would just go and have a blast!

Then again if you go and he complains you can always say "I told you so!!" LOL-- ok very bad joke there!
