Kathy,

Glad you tried making the gf bread! That was one of my first baking adventures after going gf. Did you use the Bob's? Just tried Trader Joe's
gf brownie mix for the first time. It was ok, but needs some add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts. It is only 2.99, about half the price of GF Pantry mix.

The bread I made is GF Pantry brand. Got it from my friend who had a couple of gf things in her pantry from when she briefly tried the diet. It turned out she was lactose intolerant which is very easy as she just takes a lactaid pill and then eats all the dairy she wants! Someone should invent a glutenaid pill.

Pertaining to trigger fingers, my husband has a couple of them and every now and then gets a cortisone shot in the affected tendon and it works really quick to relieve the pain and inflammation.
What's really weird if that Jack's mother , Jack & my son all three have trigger fingers..

Well, it's been almost a month of gf and I am finally improving! No D for three days! Is it too good to be true? At least I can say "so far so good."

Today there was a sale at Wild Oats (bought by Whole Foods) and there were a ton of gf foods for $1 a pkg. I stocked up!

Thanks for your support, guys!

$1 a package?? Wow, I wish I lived a little closer, but for that price I would drive the 20 minutes. I'm thrilled for you that the diet is working. It's worth the trouble, isn't it? My foot is up to lunch now (-:. Maybe next week?

Love,

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Hazel!!
GF foods for a $1 a package???????
What a deal!! Was that sale only yesterday??
Where at in Ohio are you located??
Wild Oats, now Whole Foods is about a half hour, north of me.
I have been to the Whole Foods in Cleveland and I love that store!!!!
Looks like we're in for another dooozy of a snow storm, starting this afternoon and running thru Sunday morning..
If I knew I wouldn't get caught being out in it, I'd be tempted to make a trip to Wild Oats/Whole Foods..

Dee, as far as I know it was only at our Wild Oats in Cincinnati. They were selling anything that was "Wild Oats" brand for $1, except for tuna, which was $.25/can! The crackers and chips I've already dug into are delicious. I'd go back today and pick some up for Alice, except for the snowstorm. Traffic is pretty much at a halt. We just came back from a funeral and it was so sad because of course none of the elderly friends of the deceased could get there.

p.s. another good day, norman-wise

Kathy!!
Great news on NORMAN.......
I'm from North Canton so I'm 4 hours north of you..
There's a Wild Oats or should I say Whole Foods now in Chagrin Falls.
Going to make a trip up there when we have decent weather.
We are having blizzard conditions here and already have 4 inches of snow since 10 this morning.
