Update on my end
Hello Everyone,
I have been glancing at the board everyday and seeing how everyone is doing, just been pretty busy with some things going on.
I went and did the pill cam today. The battery stopped on the pill an hour before I was to go in and return it, so I just called ahead and made sure I could go in early and get the receiver off. After a few hours it can become quite annoying with this bulky thing you are wearing and lugging around, lol. I have not passed the pill yet, which does not surprise me because the past week and a half I have been doing very well on the GI issues.
I went last Friday and saw a new family physician. First time I have seen a female family Dr and from first impressions she seems like a wonderful person. I am very pleased that I have changed over and think I have found a competent, intelligent and great family physician.
Yesterday, I got a call from my husband Steven from work around mid-day and the first thing he said to me is "Kel I screwed up". I was like "what are you talking about?!". He was working on a new wiring project in graduate dorms and had to go through the attic space to do this. Because of the insulation and the way the boards were positions he lost his footing, slipped and fell right through the ceiling into a graduate student's apartment bedroom. I guess the student was in his kitchen at the time this happened, heard the loud noise from Steven's fall and ran into his bedroom and just stood there in amazement for a second and then immediately went to help Steve and ask if he was okay. Besides being in pain he felt so bad because on the student’s bed there was all this clean folded laundry and he said the place was a mess from the insulation falling and broke a lamp, etc. Steven was immediately taken over to the Doctor's on campus and had x-rays and such done. He is doing well and luckily nothing is broke, but he is pretty sore and has some nasty cuts down his leg and back. Doctor told him not to return to work until Thursday and then he is to be on light duty for a week after that and if he is still in a lot of pain to go back to see Doc and might extend time off. The pain meds and muscle relaxants are working to keep things under control.
All in all he still has his sense of humor about it and we are both thankful he is doing good considering what happened. Today we basically have been relaxing and plan to have a night on the couch cuddled with some blankets and a good movie.
They said give them a week to get the results of the pill cam but I do not think they are going to see much. I am just thankful that right now I am really not having a lot of issues. I have had a few episodes of diarrhea, but 80% of the time it has been normal--- which is a wonderful and nice change.
Hope everyone is doing well!!
Kelly

Morning Kelly,
Hope you get your results soon and glad to hear you are doing quite well.
So sorry to hear about your DH but if you gotta fall from the sky, the bed was the best landing spot. Hope he heals fast and thank heavens he didn't break anything.
Love, Maggie

Thanks everyone!
Steve is doing well. Instead of going back to work tomorrow he is taking it off for another day to relax, then he has Friday off for Good Friday. Still bruised up and there is a portion of his lower back that really hurts and has been sending some pains down his legs when he sits, but he is doing well and making sure to try and move to not get stiff. It has now kind of become a joke thing around here with him falling from the ceiling. Now able to sit back and laugh about it--- I sure wish I could have seen the look on that students face. Not sure what I would have done if I was in the kitchen and all the sudden a man falls through my bedroom ceiling!
It has been nice having him home with me during the day when the kids are at school--- very relaxing, quiet and time for us to just spend quality time together. Then in the evenings it is family time with the kids.
I passed the pill after 28.5 hours! Yep took that long this time, lol. Actually not as suprised because I have been doing so well for 1.5-2 weeks now. I was actually able to drink a Starbucks coffee (mmmm) and not run to the bathroom right afterwards. I am still trying to lose the weight that Pred. put on and have lost 1.5 pounds so far. It was the "womanly" time of the month (water retention), so I am sure I should see a little more this upcoming week.
Tomorrow I am going to venture out and get Easter things for the kids and stuff for Easter dinner. Picked my daughter up from preschool and she was so happy that she found the golden egg during the egg hunt and got a large Easter basket. I hope everyone here has a wonderful Easter!!
I'm off to tuck my daughter into bed and put in "I am Legend" (awesome movie I saw in the theaters, but Steven wants to see it as well).
Talk soon,
Kel
