Rain Rain everywhere

Post by annie oakley »

We have gotton nearly three inches since last night, I thought the trailer was about to take flight at one point and the the lightening lit up the pastures . Of course we had nickle sized hail an hour before dark. My two Fur babies Jazzy and Buck refused flat refused to go out at all last night.
My drive is so muddy and there are puddles standing in the firlds. Mudd will be tracked everywhere. But I guess that is part of country life. This cold weather plays heck with my joints. Having a bit of a problem with the un-fixed knee, but will do what I can to help that. Take all of you
Tex!!! Any rain there? Love Oma

We are having flash flooding here in Okieland......our ranch is at the top of a hill, and we now have a creek running through the front pasture that wasn't there yesterday. We also had the 70 mph winds last night...., the rain I can live with, but that wind and lightning is no fun........bet my laying hens won't work for a week after all that noise.... :hissyfit:

We've been lucky enough to avoid any high winds or otherwise bad weather, but so far the rain has been fairly light - we could use a lot more, now that most of the corn is up and growing.

Oma, as usual, you seem to be gettin' most of the rain out there. I haven't checked the gage yet, but I would guess that we've probably had around a half inch or so. It's still raining lightly, but I doubt it will amount to much. Maybe it will surprise me yet.

Love,
Tex

We are under a flood watch until tomorrow afternoon.
It has just started raining here.
Up north of us they are evacuating people.
I feel so bad for those people because they have really been hit with the terrible weather. It's been no end for them.

We got 3 1/2 inches of rain yesterday and it's supposed to continue raining all day today, too. Soggy! Hope your trailer doesn't fly or float away, Oma.

Well the rain - and it has been overwhelming this winter - is back again today and we are also under flood watch. Snow showers and rain for Saturday.

I want SPRING and very little rain.

Love, Maggie

We have been just desperate for rain in NC. However, I am with you about the storms. My Goldren Retiriever, Maddie, is just terrified of storms so its very traumatic for her this time of year. Also, its kind of hard to sleep at night with a frightened 80 lb dog on top of you.

We got about 5.5 inches since yesterday here in Okieland. Even my paddock at the top of the hill looks like swampland. We needed the rain, but wish it would not have all come down at one time. We even had bridges washing away from the force of the water, glad I don't need to go to town anytime soon.
