GI called and needs me to redo pillcam

Hey Everyone,

GI's office called today and the nurse said they need me to redo the pillcam next week. I asked why and she said even though all the lights were flashing there was a malfunction in the equipment. So Monday need to do the prep and then Tuesday go and swallow the pill cam again. Wonder how long it will take this time to come out? lol.

LOL Erin, Brother and I were sitting here making up a bet to see who comes closest to getting the correct number of hours until it comes out. First time took 6 hours. His bet is 8 hours this next time-- I told him give me an hour to think about it and I will tell him how long I think. Pretty sure husband is going to give me a time as well, lol. Will certainly be interesting though! lol

I like that "The Pillcam time is right"-- now if I could get a nice new 2008 Lexus to go along with it I would be one happy camper!!

I am going to go out on a whim here and I am picking 9 hours this time-- just because I am having a good week

(but watch I say that and tomorrow it will turn the other way, lol).

Barb: Hmmm name--well the first one was "uno", so this one will be "dos", --just hoping this one does not decide to go breech on me and get stuck in there!

Brother says to me "Hey sell them on ebay!"---
I looked at him cross eyed and said "Am I going to advertise "It does not have a religous face on it-- BUT WAIT this is something really special--- it not even an inch long and has been through my WHOLE GI track-- but there's more---- each is worth $500 a pop!, yes folks that 2-- you get 2 for the actual cost of $1,000--- now folks how many others can raise their hand and say they excreted $1,000-- don't miss out on this once in a lifetime piece of memorable to get your hands on something where no other has gone!"-------- Now that I think about it-- really brings a new meaning to flushing money down the drain!

Ok-- little comedy relief as I know I will be grumbling with the prep on monday, haha.

Good Luck with your 2nd pill cam!

I do have a question/concern however. I have microscopic colitis and the only way my doc found it was after her took biopsies during my colonoscopy. The way I understand it, you don't "see" the microscopic colitis on the surface. It is found in the tissue that they study. (Oh ya, I'm not a doctor).

But I had an endoscopy and colonscopy, both with biopsises, and the colonscopy biopsies were the only thing that proved what was wrong.

Also, just so you know, I'm older than you, but not much...32. My doc mentions every time I see him that most people my age don't have this.

Good luck to you and I hope that find ways to help!! Everyone seems to be a little different and I'm still working myself.

I am 25 and have it and I am a male! So that is two times against the norm. Things can happen to anyone.

I had 3 coloncoscopes and a barium exam within a year and a half of each other. So I can feel your pain...

I would guess that once you get that prep thru your system this time it will take about 4.5 hours to get that camera out of there. That stuff really makes you go quickly!!!
