What's the best way to bookmark topics?
While reading the forums, I stumble upon many topics I'd like to look at again. For example, I've been looking for the list of food intolerances reported by members. I've used the search function, but have been unsuccessful in locating it. I'd like to bookmark such a page. Is my only option to place the page in my browser bookmarks?
You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Hi Gloria,
That's a good question, and one that I never gave any thought to, but yes, you should be able to bookmark any topic simply by saving a bookmark for the topic that you are currently viewing. IOW, the URL that is displayed in the window in the navigation toolbar at the top of your browser, (well, actually, it's usually the second toolbar from the top), is actually a valid URL, so you should be able to bookmark it just like any other URL.
After you save it, you'll probably want to rename it, so that the name relates to whatever caught your interest in the topic, to allow you to more easily locate it, later, when you try to sort through all the bookmarks trying to find it.
With Firefox, (and probably most good browsers, these days), you can set up folders to allow you to consolidate related files, so that they are much easier to locate. You can "drag and drop", or "cut and paste", to add the bookmarks to the folder.
If that still doesn't suit your purposes, I'll check to see if anyone has written a "Mod" for phpBB2 that will allow bookmarking in some other mannner. The last time I looked, I didn't notice one, but people are writing Mods and adding them to the database all the time, so there might be one available by now, or sometime in the future.

P S That was Mike's topic, I believe, if I'm visualizing the right one. If you ask him, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to point you to it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
