Hey Mike,

This used to happen to me a LOT, esp when I was experiencing active lupus. It was as though I had a sunburn - you know, your skin is burning hot, yet you get chills, then are hot, then get chills, can't warm up even though you have tons of blankets on.

The other thought is that when my thyroid is being oversupplied, this happens to me, but it is accompanied by sweats at night.

Sorry, gotta go,
Marsha

Ps. love to hear from you, always read your posts . . .

Hi Mike.

My guess is that it is hormonal. Although, seeing Tex' post today about the paratuberculosis bug reminded me that a symptom of regular tuberculosis infection is night sweats. Do you wake up hot and wet or just hot? (Whoops, sorry.... this sounds suggestive, doesn't it? - :censored: LOL!)

form one who always read your posts too,

Polly

ROTFL Ahhh... that's great.

Nope, just feeling like the room is hot, but it's not. Not sweaty at all. I'm also usually thirsty, but then I'm thirsty during the day a lot too.

I don't usually get the chills. Although one time when I did a liver cleanse (never again!) I felt like this, I was wearing a lot of clothes, and felt like I was freezing, in fact I was shivering intensely as if I was not wearing enough on a cold winter day.

There are other times I find my self getting this sort of shiver, or shock, or something like that. I'll just be sitting there minding my own business and all of a sudden my body shakes for a second as if I'm really cold. Makes me wonder again about serotonin levels as these have a lot to do with thermoregulation.

Thanks,
Mike

PS. Thanks! At least someone else follows the Many Meanderings of Mike's Mind. That way if I get lost I know someone can help me find my way back. ;D LOL

Mike,

Have you had your blood sugar level checked lately?

Nope. But I will for sure. I've always had this type of problem if you're thinking diabetes, though nothing has ever shown to be abnormal with blood sugar or having my urine tested. Very strange as I have thought diabetes, heck the genes for Celiac are associated with diabetes.

Another strange thing. LOL

Mike - "I'll just be sitting there minding my own business and all of a sudden my body shakes for a second as if I'm really cold."

That has occasionally happened to me most of my life. Not often though.. Just once in a while. Have no idea why.
