tough day

Yesterday was a really tough one...in the bathroom more that out and pain in muscles and joints....effects of c-diff are not limited to the gut but can be systemic..... I can't take immodium or lomotil (not that it helped that much anyway) because they want the c-diff to move on thru quickly.....the lomotil slows the gut motility and that's not good with c-diff. So all hell broke loose. I am now on vancomyocin. I was surprised the GI doc changed her mind about doing another round of flagyl...maybe the speciman sample showed more c-diff than she expected? anyway the vancomycin cost is $1,060! Thankfully we have insurance and co-pay was $50. My emotions are at a very low ebb...couldn't stop crying and worrying ....not being on the entocort means the LC is not being treated so I guess that is influlencing the D also along with the c-diff. My fatigue is tough to deal with now.....so all in all i am pretty misubuhl!!!!

oh no sunny, i am sorry to hear that you are having a tough time

You have been through so much lately i am really hoping that the new med kicks in soon and you can be rid of the c-diff and just focus on treating the LC instead which you know works with the Entocort. How long are you on the new med? Hopefully you can have a restful weekend.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are really having a lousy time with the c-diff.
I'm hoping that the vancomyocin works quickly for you, so you can get back on the Entocort and start to feel better..
