Hawk Web Cam for the bird lovers

Post by crranch »

Thought you all might enjoy this, a local radio station had two Red Tail Hawks nest right next to one of their tower cams. So now we have all been watching them as they are nesting. Two eggs are now in the nest...pretty exciting, my familiars are TV stars.

Thanks so much Carrie. Will add it to my bird watching sites. Used to have a Great Horned Owl site and followed the families for 4 years - the good and the bad that happened. Then the male Owl just never returned and the female went to another area. It was an awesome site and was amazing to watch from the hatching to the fledging.

Thanks Again, Maggie

Your very welcome, I figured you might get a kick out of it. They were all the rage a few months ago, when the first hawk, then the mate showed up on the tower cam. Then when they started nesting, the whole city of Tulsa went Hawk crazy, been a great thing, maybe a few less idiot Rednecks will be shooting at them because of this. My poor raptors need all the help they can get, seems like a law protecting them doesn't do much good.

That is so incredible. I watched all the video they had up in the corner. I hope they can catch the final "emerging" HaHa

For some reason or other, I never have been able to pick up the live transmission, but the "replays" play automatically.

I think they are having trouble with the live feed because of weather. I had the same problem, but logged on again and got to see it for a bit. God doesn't make an ugly baby, those little down covered cuties are the hit of Tulsa right now.....

They'd be "the hit" anywhere.

All babies are cute, (even when your brain says they are ugly). HaHa

I thought even the baby (when he faced the camera and they had a close up) looked majestic.

A couple of hours ago I was able to get the live feed and one of the poor kids was squished up against the side of the nest under Momma and the camera zoomed in on him to show his " not real happy look " All you could see was a little face peaking out from under Mom, looking really annoyed.... Just made me have to smile......comedy relief raptors.
