Hi Friends

Post by Momster »

Hi Everyone:

Just dropping in for a quick hello. As usual, I'm so far behind on the posts, I'll never catch up, but I do think of all of you often.
I'm enjoying Spring showing up slowly. Our daffodils are in bloom now and I've planted most of my patio planters. I love this time of year when everything is renewing.
As for my health, I will be having my gall bladder surgery on May 9. The surgeon is waiting for my pancreas to settle down a bit so he can do a laparoscopy(sp) instead of an incision. He won't know until the day of the surgery if that will happen, so I will have to wait until I wake up. If he has to do the incision, I'll be in the hospital for five days instead of the day surgery. Well, whatever will be, will be.
I was scared when my GP told me they found a cyst on my pancreas when they did the CT scan, but the surgeon says that type of cyst is rarely the big "C". He says it was probably caused by the gallstone that went through. At any rate, it may cause a problem for the surgery if they can't see the gall bladder well enough to take it out laparascoptically(sp). He also said those type of cysts usually resolve themselves, but it could take up to a year, so unless it is giving me trouble they will leave it alone and just monitor it. Drs. don't like to fool around with the pancreas.
Anyway, I am in good spirits and just taking things as they come.
Hope you are all well. I will try to look in more often, but can't guarantee how often with everything that is going on.
Peggy :pigtail: is coming for a visit on Friday so I'm looking forward to lots of fun. We always have a good time together and will probably get a Scrabble game or two in. I hope to get her out shopping with me to help me pick out some clothes and find out what size I am. I've lost 68lb, so nothing fits anymore. Went from a size 24 jeans to 14, so that's making me happy. I did LA weight loss and it worked!!!

Take care and have a great day everyone.

Love,

Irene the Momster

It's sooooo nice to hear from you! You sound in good spirits too!

I'm wishing you well with the gallbladder surgery on the 9th! I'm sure everything will go just fine! I have eye surgery on the 21st of May to correct my floppy eyelid surgery. It is technically an eye lift but for medical reasons. Here's :toast: to both of us healing quickly with no complications!

Looking forward to hearing who wins the Scrabble game - tell :pigtail: Hello!!!

Love,
Mars

PS: AWESOME on the weightloss! I'm so excited for you!!!
