Crazy! They can have all the wheat, I don't want it. :) Rice I could probably live without as well.

Mr. Rawles is quite correct - supply channels don't have much "flexibility", to allow for hoarding, these days.

Hubby went to our local supermarket (small town) this afternoon with a long list of foods and managed to get everything but did mention that he got the last bag of rice.

Looks like it's hitting rural communities as well.
