for you too. If my husband can quit tobacco (we both smoked) anybody can. HaHa

In fact, the way I quit was to think "I know I can last longer than he can!" Here we are - about 4 1/2 years later - smokeless. It wasn't easy though. In fact, there are times when is still isn't easy. Guess once you are hooked, you are hooked for life. It does get a lot easier though.

Good luck, Rick. You can do it. The patch worked for me. I quit in 1992 and smoking is just a fond memory now, like that boyfriend you had in high school. Or girlfriend.

Thanks everyone......today was day one with no Skoal and the nicotine patch........he quit once for 6 months on a bet about 10 years ago, so I know he can do it.....but it won't be easy......

Your support means the world to both of us.....we would be all alone in this if it wasn't for my daily visits here.....you are the reason I have been able to do all that I have for Rick.......from the bottom of my heart...Thank you!!!!

Tell Rick we are pulling for him and definitely in his corner....my DH & I quit smoking 38 years ago and so glad we did....it is very hard...........
good thing he can do hard things!!!
